Antti leads the research programme. This involves developing the method behind each study, verifying every published figure, and deciding whether a finding is solid enough to publish.
Responsibilities
Every study in this section carries his byline, and with it responsibility for four things: that the design can support the claim being made; that every published figure has been re-queried from source rather than carried over from a draft; that the limitations are stated at the length they deserve; and that findings which did not survive verification were dropped rather than softened.
The corrections log records where that process changed a number before publication and where it changed one afterwards.
Areas of expertise
Each of these is demonstrable from published work rather than self-described.
- Gambling licensing and regulation. Licence migration across 2,210 brands
- Causal inference on observational data. Difference-in-differences design, with placebo and specification tests to assess the robustness of causal findings
- Consumer decision behaviour. 56,696 measured comparison sessions
- Payment infrastructure. Payment-rail census across 24 markets
- Supply infrastructure. 320,187 supply relationships
- Bonus terms and their economics. 733 offers modelled to effective cost
